Over half of women in Uzbekistan marry between the ages of 20 and 30
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Uzbekistan continues to see a stable trend of women getting married between the ages of 20 and 30. According to the National Statistics Committee, a total of 31,775 marriages were registered in the country during the first two months of 2025.
An analysis of the age distribution of women entering marriage revealed the following statistics:
35.3% of brides were under the age of 20.
52.4% were between 20 and 30 years old.
9.4% belonged to the 31–40 age group.
2.9% of women who got married were over 41 years old.
Thus, more than half of all marriages involve women aged 20–30, reflecting the prevailing social norms and traditions in the country. Meanwhile, the share of marriages among women over 40 remains minimal, which may be attributed to cultural and demographic characteristics of the region.
