Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) – Some 53 people, including 13 children, were poisoned at a wedding in Bukhara region, the press service of the regional health department announced.

On 12 v 2024, around 10 p.m., patients began to arrive at Bukhara regional Hospital with complaints of nausea, vomiting and general malaise.

They were all present at the wedding held at the Okshom wedding hall in Galaasiya district.

Until 03:00, 16 patients were admitted to the central hospital of Bukhara region, including 4 children and 12 adults. In addition, 37 patients came to the central hospital of the Vobkent district medical association with similar symptoms: 9 children and 28 adults.

All patients were diagnosed with “acute diarrhea, gastric and gastroenteric form, moderate severity, food poisoning.” All patients received infusion therapy.

By 9:00 on 13 April, 43 people were discharged from medical institutions due to satisfactory health: 11 in Bukhara region and 32 in Vobkent district. During the day it was planned to send the remaining patients home.
