Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- From 1 May 2022, the offset of the amount of overpaid tax towards repayment of debts on another tax for legal entities (except for VAT, personal income tax and social tax) was automated. This was reported by the press service of the State Tax Committee. 

Now, the next day after the taxpayer has a tax debt for one type of tax and an overpayment for another type of tax, the automated system generates a conclusion on offsetting the overpayment against the debt and sends it to the district treasury for execution within 1-5 days.

The taxpayer is notified about this through a personal account.

With the help of the new service in May this year, more than 127 thousand legal entities fulfilled their tax obligations for a total of 49.3 billion soums.

At the moment, the necessary measures are being taken to automate this process for other taxes for legal entities, as well as for individual entrepreneurs.
