According to Uzbektourism, about 330,000 foreigners (+7.4% compared to the first quarter of 2014) visited Uzbekistan to visit their relatives in January-March 2015.

Number of tourists rose from 20,949 people in the first quarter of 2014 to 22,800 in the same period of 2015 (+8.9%). About 24,100 people (+1.9%) visited Uzbekistan with business affairs and 5,027 (-19.6%) – with commercial purpose.

At the same time, about 8,863 foreign citizens visited Uzbekistan to work (+6.6%) and 2,917 people (-7.8%) to study.

Some 19,100 foreigners (-15.9%) arrived in Uzbekistan to receive treatment and 10,100 (+21%) to permanent residence.
