Speaking at the briefing dedicated to the activity of ICTP project, Abdullaev said the summit will be held on five topics: strategy and development, technology and infrastructure, applications and solutions, information and educational resource, as well as information security.
He said that over it is expected that over 350 delegates from such countries as Germany, India, South Korea, Russia, the USA, the Czech Republic and Uzbekistan will participate at the summit.
ICT Summit 2009 will be held in Tashkent on 22 September 2009. ICT Summit is organized within the ICT Week InfoCom, which is held annually in autumn.
Annual ICT summit attracts attention of large number of ICT specialists and it is one of the main events in the ICT sphere in Uzbekistan.
The event is organized by the Coordination Council for Development of Computerisation and ICT, the Committee on Information and Communication Technologies of the Legislative Chamber of Oliy Majlis, Uzbek Agency for Communication and Informatization (UzACI), United Nations Development Programme in Uzbekistan through ICT Policy Project (ICTP) and Association of IT Companies and Organizations of Uzbekistan.
Participants will develop proposals on further development of ICT in Uzbekistan and adopt corresponding resolution of the summit.
