Over 3.1m tonnes of cargo transported via Angren Logistic Center
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- About 3.1 million tonnes of freight were transported through newly created Angren Logistic Center (Angren Logistic Center CJSC, Tashkent region of Uzbekistan) in nine months of 2010, a publication of the Ministry of Economy and the State Statistics Committee of Uzbekistan.

International Logistics Center has been commissioned in Angren, Tashkent region of Uzbekistan. The center was created on the base of Ablyk railway station.

The center was created to accept and process freights and their transportation to Andijan, Namangan and Ferghana region with help of motor transport.

The Government of Uzbekistan adopted decision to stop railway transportation of cargo to these three regions from other parts of Uzbekistan via Tajikistan, which should promote to develop the center.

It is expected that the center will transport 4.2 million tonnes of cargo in 2010, including spare parts for vehicles and ready products of GM Uzbekistan, oil products of Ferghana refinery and others.
