Over 30 companies in Tashkent fined for advertising violations
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The Committee for Competition Development and Consumer Protection of Uzbekistan has held more than 30 companies accountable for violations of advertising regulations.
Between January and February of this year, the Tashkent City Territorial Department of the Committee conducted monitoring and analysis to ensure compliance with advertising laws.
During the inspection, the Special Commission of the Territorial Department identified violations among more than 30 businesses operating in Tashkent. These included Coca Cola Ichimligi Uzbekistan, International Beverages Tashkent (Pepsi), MAK Food Servis, LUMIERI, Turan Media, Oqtepa Food Service, and BARATRUM (SAFIA).
Cases were initiated against these companies for breaches of the Law on Advertising and the Regulation on the Placement of Outdoor Advertising and Information, approved by Cabinet of Ministers Resolution No. 104 on the Regulation of the Outdoor Advertising Market. Following the investigation, financial penalties were imposed.
Additionally, the companies received mandatory directives to correct the identified violations and take measures to prevent similar incidents in the future.
