Over 160,000 people visit Uzbekistan’s pavilion at EXPO-2010
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Over 160,000 people visited pavilion of Uzbekistan at the world exhibition EXPO-2010 within two weeks and it became one of the most popular sites at the exhibition.

World exhibition EXPO-2010 started in Shanghai, China, on 1 May 2010. The theme of the exhibition in “Better City – Better Life”. Number of participants reached 189 countries and 57 international organizations, Jahon news agency reported.

The front of Uzbekistan’s pavilion was designed in national architecture and modern design styles. The topic of the Uzbek pavilion is “Uzbekistan: crossroads of civilizations”. The exhibits present economic and investment potential of Uzbekistan, role of the state in improving rural areas and cities, etc.

Zhou Hanmin, deputy director of executive committee of EXPO 2010, said the pavilion allows visitors to familiarize with Uzbekistan, changes in the country and life of population. He said the participant of Uzbekistan at the EXPO-2010 is bright. Hanmin underlined that the pavilion will help to deep interaction and mutual understanding between Uzbekistan and China.
