Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 25 April, the first regional airline Silk Avia began flights to the cities of Uzbekistan. In the first month, the air carrier covered 10 routes and transported more than 12,000 passengers on 330 flights.

The average number of commercial load per flight was more than 60%, which is a high figure for the first month of the airline’s flights. Three aircraft - ATR-72 600 - flew 322 hours.

Most of Silk Avia’s passengers are citizens of Uzbekistan. Also in the top five are citizens of Russia, Israel, Kazakhstan and Turkey.

By gender, there are more men than women among passengers. By age, the smallest passenger was a 3-week-old infant, and the oldest was a 91-year-old woman.

During the first month, the airline gained obvious admirers - one passenger flew 10 times a month on the route Tashkent-Samarkand-Tashkent, the other flew 9 times on the route Tashkent-Karshi-Tashkent.

It is worth noting that from June 1, the air carrier launched flights to new destinations: Silk Avia connected Tashkent with Fergana and Nukus, and also operates flights from Fergana to Urgench, Bukhara and Navoi.

The airline has three fares that differ in parameters and price. The simplest ODDIY fare is ideal for traveling light. The fare includes only 5 kg hand luggage (the bag must fit in a special sizer - 40cm x 30cm x 20cm), and does not include baggage, refunds and rebooking tickets. The OSON fare is also non-refundable, but there is the possibility of rebooking and included baggage - up to 10 kg. The OMAD fare includes baggage up to 20 kg, rebooking and ticket refund with minimal penalties.
