Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- In Uzbekistan, during the spring season of the Yashil Makon project, 541 cases of falsification of data on planting more than a million seedlings were discovered. This was reported by the press service of the Prosecutor General’s Office.

According to the prosecutor’s office, it was also revealed that in 441 cases, 580 thousand seedlings were planted in places without an irrigation system.

In addition, in 35 cases, more than 19 thousand seedlings died due to the fact that they were not planted on time.

Also, 7,232 cases of illegal tree felling were identified, and for each tree cut down, 100 seedlings were ordered to be planted as compensation.
