OSON and BILLZ discuss expansion strategy in Central Asia at meetings with Uzbekistan delegation
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — A delegation from the Ministry of Digital Technologies of the Republic of Uzbekistan and IT Park Uzbekistan held negotiations with OSON and BILLZ, as well as held working meetings with leading IT companies from Kazakhstan at the Smart Point Almaty innovation hub. This event marked an important step in strengthening regional cooperation and creating a unified technological ecosystem.
The meeting was attended by the Minister of Digital Technologies of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Sherzod Shermatov, the CEO of IT Park Uzbekistan, Abdulkahad Kuchkarov, and the director of the Tashkent branch of IT Park, Amir Mansurov.
The parties discussed the current achievements of OSON, which opened its representative office in Almaty in 2023. During the meeting, OSON’s results in Kazakhstan were presented, including the growth of its customer base, successful case studies, and the strengthening of its regional partnerships. OSON representatives also shared their strategic development plan for 2025 and future plans for expansion into new markets, including Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan.
As part of the delegation’s visit to Almaty, a meeting was held with the company BILLZ, which was founded in Uzbekistan and is actively doing business in Kazakhstan. BILLZ is a leading digital platform for managing retail businesses and is actively expanding its presence in Kazakhstan. During the meeting, the company’s key achievements, customer base growth, partnership projects, and innovative services were discussed. BILLZ’s success in Kazakhstan demonstrates the high export potential and technological maturity of Uzbek IT companies.
IT Park Uzbekistan noted the company’s significant progress on the international stage and discussed measures to support the strengthening of regional cooperation.
Smart Point Almaty is a leading coworking space and IT hub located in the Almaty Towers business center. This project combines modern infrastructure for businesses, creative spaces, and social initiatives, creating an ecosystem for startups, IT companies, and freelancers. At Smart Point Almaty, meetings were held with companies such as EasyTap, Kwaaka, Sabre, and ioka. Kazakhstani startups presented their products, including fintech solutions, cloud platforms, and tools for e-commerce automation. These solutions contribute to the digitalization of logistics chains, the implementation of AI solutions for retail, and the development of payment ecosystems, which may be of interest to foreign tech companies and create new opportunities for international partnerships.
The meeting in Almaty confirmed the growing interest of businesses in both countries in joint technological initiatives and efforts to enter new markets.
