A four-day training course for Police Academy teachers focusing on modern police education methodologies will begin tomorrow in Tashkent.
Best practices from the OSCE region will be introduced during the training course, organized by the OSCE Project Co-ordinator in Uzbekistan to help the teachers learn about interactive teaching and the use of information technology.
"This course gives participants a chance to learn more about new approaches to police education and will help create a police force that is able to efficiently preserve peace and public order and ensure security," said Ambassador Miroslav Jenca, the OSCE Project Co-ordinator in Uzbekistan.
Experts from the International Police Training Centre in Hungary, the National Police Academy of Ireland and the OSCE Strategic Police Matters Unit will lead sessions during the course.
The Project Co-ordinator is organizing the course in co-operation with the OSCE Strategic Police Matters Unit and the Interior Ministry as part of a two-year project to assist Uzbekistan’s Police Academy.
