The event was organized in co-operation with the Public Fund for Support and Development of Independent Print Media and News Agencies of Uzbekistan and the International In-service Training Centre for Journalists.

The seminar is the second part of the Project Co-ordinator’s ongoing capacity building project for the members of 20 different information services of Uzbekistan’s state agencies and civil society organizations, aiming at improving their professional skills.

In his speech welcoming the participants, Ambassador György Szabó, the OSCE Project Co-ordinator in Uzbekistan, emphasized the advantages of transparent communication in creating public confidence in the actions of government agencies and the importance of developing the professional skills of press service officials in line with new information technologies.
