OSCE Chairperson-in-Office Valtonen to Visit Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The OSCE Chairperson-in-Office and Minister for Foreign Affairs of Finland, Elina Valtonen, will visit Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan on 10–11 June for meetings with senior government officials and representatives of civil society.
In Astana, Minister Valtonen is scheduled to meet with the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Murat Nurtleu, and Chairman of the Senate Maulen Ashimbayev.
In Tashkent, the OSCE Chairperson-in-Office will hold talks with the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, Minister of Foreign Affairs Bakhtiyor Saidov, and Speaker of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis, Nuriddin Ismoilov. She will also deliver a speech to students at the University of World Economy and Diplomacy.
During the visit, Chairperson Valtonen will also meet with representatives of OSCE field missions, civil society organizations, and beneficiaries of OSCE-supported projects.
