Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The city of Urumqi, Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region of the People's Republic of China, hosted the 13th Forum of Cooperation in the Mining Industry between the Silk Road countries, as well as the 13th Xinjiang International Exhibition of Mining and Equipment. Representatives from more than 20 countries of the world participated in them. This was reported by the press service of the Navoi branch of the Academy of Sciences.

The delegation from Uzbekistan included the vice-president of the Academy of Sciences - the chairman of the Navoi branch Abdurazak Mirzaev and the head of the department Sherzod Sharipov.

At the forum, leading experts in the field, as well as entrepreneurs, shared information about achievements in the mining industry and presented new modern equipment.

Speaking at the forum with a report, A. Mirzaev spoke about the investment potential of our country, benefits and preferences provided to foreign investors, laws and government documents adopted in this direction. Information is also provided on the developments and scientific potential of the Navoi branch of the Academy of Sciences, the existing deposits of non-metallic minerals in the territory of Uzbekistan, which require geological exploration.

In addition, it was proposed to create a consulting center in the form of a joint venture to prepare promising projects to attract investment.

Within the framework of the prestigious international forum, dozens of bilateral and trilateral negotiations were held, at which representatives of leading Chinese companies offered cooperation in the extraction and processing of non-metallic minerals, the introduction of water-saving technologies in agriculture, the use of fertilizers and other areas.

The Navoi branch of the Academy of Sciences signed seven memorandums of cooperation with Chinese companies, which Abdurazak Mirzaev and Sherzod Sharipov visited the day before and got acquainted with their production capacities and promising developments. Among them is Jinlan Xinjiang Vegetable Protein Company LLC, which specializes in biotechnology, namely, fine and deep processing of cotton seed protein concentrate, raffinose, gossypol and cotton seed peptides.

Also, specialists of the Xinjiang Trading Company for Agriculture and Livestock Breeding showed great interest in our country, who are ready to invest in the construction of a livestock feed plant, while using local plants such as clover and camel thorn for granulation. This, according to the Chinese partners, will improve the quality of the resulting meat of large and small cattle, which opens up prospects for creating a livestock cluster.

Henan Wanshihengtong Intelligent Equipment Co., Ltd expressed interest in supplying a technology for cleaning quartz sand from clay fraction to a level suitable for use in construction. As is known, there are deposits of quartz sands in the Kyzylkum mining region.

Also, memorandums were signed with Xinjiang Watershed Cultural Company, Xinjiang Junsheng Commercial Consulting Company, Yanggu Industrial and Mining Machinery Company, Metal Products Engineering and Technology Company, as well as an agreement with the Institute of Strategy for development of science and technology in the XUAR of the PRC. In addition, negotiations were held with the leadership of the Guangdong Union on international scientific and technical cooperation with the CIS countries.

At the end of the forum, A. Mirzaev and Sh. Sharipov were awarded letters of thanks. The participants of the event unanimously came to the conclusion that such meetings create the ground for expanding bilateral and multilateral cooperation of the participating countries.
