Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The Egyptian company Orascom Construction plans to build an industrial zone in the Navoi region. The volume of investment will be US$50 million.

Representatives of the khokimiyat of Navoi region and Orascom Construction discussed the construction of an industrial zone in the region.

Representatives of Orascom Construction received information about land plots where it is possible to build an industrial zone.

It should be noted that earlier the Management of Orascom Construction expressed interest in implementing a project in Uzbekistan to create an industrial park with the subsequent construction of facilities for the production of paints and varnishes and chemicals for building materials on its territory, as well as the construction of a wind power plant with a capacity of 100 MW.

On 29v, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev received the chairman of the Egyptian company Orascom Investment Holding, Naguib Sawiris. The company’s plans for the implementation of large investment projects in Uzbekistan worth over US$1.2 billion were considered as part of a joint road map.
