Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 12 April, Minister of Higher Education, Science and Innovation Ibrohim Abdurakhmonov met with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of France Aurelia Bouchez. The Embassy’s attaché for cooperation in the field of education, Serge Bellini, also took part in the meeting.

The parties discussed work on the implementation of the agreements reached during the visit of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev to Paris.

In particular, an exchange of views took place on establishing and strengthening cooperation between the universities of the two countries, establishing cooperation in the field of vocational education. In particular, an agreement was reached on expanding the opportunities for teaching French in the universities of Uzbekistan, launching special advanced training programs for French language teachers.

In addition, issues of joint implementation of scientific and start-up projects, intensification of cooperation between French and Uzbek universities to obtain a double degree (Double Degree), organization of summer internships were discussed.
