Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- All operators of Uzbekistan receive direct access to international telecommunications networks.
This measure is contained in the road map of the Strategy for Innovative Development of the Republic of Uzbekistan for 2019-2021.
Today, the national telecommunications operator "Uzbektelecom" provides providers and operators with access to the Internet.
The road map states that before January 1, 2020, a normative legal act will be developed that will include measures to liberalize access to the Internet by providers.
It is expected that this will reduce the price of Internet access for end users.
Also, before February 1, 2020, Uzbekistan plans to expand the coverage of the population with broadband Internet access, including through the development of mobile networks operating by LTE and WIMAX standards.
