Online hearing of reports of state bodies on the implementation of projects in the field of e-government takes place

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The Ministry for Development of Information Technologies and Communications held an online hearing of reports from state bodies on the implementation of projects in the field of e-government.

The Ministry for the Development of Information Technologies and Communications of the Republic of Uzbekistan held an online meeting dedicated to the implementation of projects provided for by the President’s Resolution PP-4699 from 28 April 2020 "On measures for the widespread introduction of the digital economy and electronic government."

During the meeting, the projects of the Ministry of Economic Development and Poverty Reduction, the Ministry of Justice, the Intellectual Property Agency and the State Services Agency were discussed, as well as problems arising in the process of their implementation.

At the beginning of the meeting, First Deputy Minister for the Development of Information Technologies and Communications O. Pekos emphasized that the President’s decree approved a list of over 100 priority projects for the further development of e-government in 2020-2022, and in the current conditions of the pandemic, the importance of digital technologies is also very great. Accelerating the transition of the most popular public services to electronic form is the main task today.

Further, during the meeting, information was heard from representatives of the Ministry of Economic Development and Poverty Reduction, the Ministry of Justice, the Intellectual Property Agency and the State Services Agency on their work on the implementation of projects.

In particular, it was noted that within the framework of this Presidential Decree in 2020-2021, work is being carried out on:

- introduction of an integrated information system "Entrepreneur", designed to receive and process documents for receiving financial assistance at the expense of the State Fund for the Support of Entrepreneurship;

- modernization and improvement of the information system "Notary";

- creation of the "Portal for the Protection of Industrial Property" with the aim of automating the registration of intellectual property objects;

- creation of an information system to simplify the process of liquidation of business entities and the implementation of other relevant projects.

At the end of the meeting, following the results of hearing the information of the participants of this event about the work done, proposals were made for further quality assurance of the fulfillment of the tasks defined by the President’s decree.
