Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - Cinema Palace named after Alisher Navoi is waiting for a massive reconstruction. This was announced by the Director General of Uzbekkino Firdavs Abdukhalikov during the premiere of the film "Kokand Wind".
"Soon, the Palace of Cinema named after Alisher Navoi will be completely renovated, and will meet all modern requirements and standards for this type of structure. This will create additional opportunities for holding various events, including events of an international level,” the head of Uzbekkino noted at the presentation of the film.
It is known that over the past three years, Uzbekkino has made such historical films as Islomkhoja, Abu Iso Muhammad Termiziy, Patriot, Said and Saida, Berlin-Orgon, Avloni.
“Now three new historical films are being prepared for release - Iskhokhon Ibrat, Khamid Olimjon and Zulfiya, Ilkhak. Typical centers will be built in large regional centers of the country, in each of which three movie screens will function. This is a small part of the large-scale reforms conceived by the President of the country, which await the country's film industry in the near future, ”emphasized Firdavs Abdukhalikov
It is worth noting that the film "Kokand wind", which premiered on the eve of the Palace of Cinema them. Alisher Navoi, was filmed by director Dilmurad Masaidov.
The film depicts the socio-political environment of the Kokand Khanate of the late XVIII-early XIX centuries, the complexity of this period, the Kokand literary environment. The plot focuses on the life and work of the Kokand Khan Amir Umarkhon, who wrote under the pseudonym Amir, and his wife, the great poetess Nodirabegim.
