Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Chinese car brand OMODA registered record sales in the first quarter of 2023, selling more than 13,000 vehicles. This comes as the global auto industry is recovering more slowly than expected. For example, passenger car sales in Germany were down 2.6% year-on-year in January, and more than 15.2% in China (including a 19% decline in the A0-SUV class).
OMODA continues to grow in the regions where it was launched, from Mexico and Israel to Kuwait. The brand has gained wide popularity due to its philosophy of meeting the diverse needs of young generations.
One of OMODA’s key design concepts is Art in Motion, which creates a unique futuristic visual effect. Under the hood of OMODA vehicles, there are 1.6T or 1.5T fuel-powered engines paired with DCT or CVT transmission to meet different needs of customers. In addition, OMODA 5 is equipped with an ADAS system with more than 10 functions to ensure safe and worry-free travel for young trendsetters. The brand also received a full five-star rating in the Euro NCAP crash test, setting a new industry standard for safety.
The sales will help accelerate OMODA’s strategy in the global market. From the beginning of the second quarter, the brand will expand in succession to other regional markets such as the Middle East, Latin America and the European Union.
Using cutting-edge new energy technology, OMODA also plans to launch BEV models to facilitate the transition to sustainable mobility ecosystems. OMODA will hold a brand presentation at the end of April, and in Uzbekistan it may take place in the autumn.
