OMODA E5 passes an extreme test at temperatures exceeding 500°C

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) – Leading manufacturer of new energy vehicles, OMODA, has announced the successful completion of an extreme test for their fully electric off-road vehicle, OMODA E5. The test was conducted at temperatures exceeding 500°C, and the results confirmed the safety of the vehicle’s battery even under the most severe conditions.

The battery of the OMODA E5 is equipped with advanced electronic management and Battery Management System (BMS), ensuring its stability and safety.

The testing, carried out in an authoritative laboratory, involved direct flame exposure to the vehicle chassis for 130 seconds. In these extreme conditions, the battery maintained stability, showing no signs of electrical leakage or malfunctioning of the electrical systems.

Prior to the test, the OMODA E5 battery was charged to 96%, simulating normal operating conditions. After completing the high-temperature test and a two-hour static observation period, the vehicle successfully exited the test zone without any damage. This test confirmed that the OMODA E5 battery is resistant to thermal runaway even at extreme temperatures, ensuring the vehicle’s fire safety.

In addition to passing the high-temperature test, the OMODA E5 also endured other rigorous tests, including waterproof tests, bottom impact tests, and collision tests. The vehicle is constructed with high-strength steel, comprising 78% of its structure, significantly enhancing its durability against damage. These measures, combined with precise component fitting, virtually eliminate the risk of leaks and battery block damage when driving on challenging road conditions.

OMODA emphasizes its commitment to maximum user safety. The real-time battery management system monitors the battery’s condition, ensuring optimal performance. These efforts are aimed at addressing concerns regarding battery safety in hot weather for owners of new energy vehicles.

The successful completion of these tests demonstrates OMODA’s dedication to high safety standards and the quality of its products, as well as their contribution to the development of safety standards for new energy vehicles.
