Ombudsman visits Bulgaria, Finland

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Human Rights Commissioner of Oliy Majlis of Uzbekistan (Ombudsman) Sayyora Rashidova visited Bulgaria and Finland at the invitation of local Ombudsmen in October 2009.

During the visits, the Uzbek official met representatives of local parliaments, justice ministries and penitentiary establishments, as well as partners.

Human Rights Commissioner’s visit to these European states was organized at the assistance of the OSCE mission in Uzbekistan. The mission was aimed at establishing partnership relations between Ombudsmen of the countries.
