Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan Davron Vakhabov met with the Minister of Trade, Industry and Investment Support of the Sultanate of Oman Qais Bin Muhammad Al-Yusuf.

A delegation from Oman arrived in Uzbekistan to participate in the Tashkent International Investment Forum.

The meeting was attended by Uzbek exporters of seasonal fruits and dried fruits, children’s toys, plastic and chemical products, as well as fishing, construction and logistics enterprises. The meeting was also attended by the Ambassador of Oman to Uzbekistan Wafa Jabr Nasir al-Busaidi, representatives of relevant ministries and departments.

The Omani side expressed interest in starting the export of Uzbek fruits and dried fruit products to Oman.

The parties agreed to explore the possibilities of producing automobile glass and wheels, as well as pharmaceutical products in Uzbekistan, attracting investments from Oman.

Significant potential for the development of logistics cooperation through air transport was noted.

An agreement was also reached to conclude a cooperation agreement between the chambers of commerce and industry of both countries and to hold a joint business forum, an exhibition of Uzbek products and B2B meetings between entrepreneurs in the city of Muscat in 2024.
