Official visit of the President of Uzbekistan to Kuwait concludes
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The first official visit of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, to the State of Kuwait has concluded.
During the visit to the country's capital, Kuwait City, the President of Uzbekistan held historic talks with the Emir of Kuwait, Sheikh Mishaal Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, and the Crown Prince, Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah. Productive meetings also took place with key government officials and leaders of major companies and financial institutions in Kuwait.
As a result of the summit, a Joint Statement was adopted, and a significant package of agreements was signed in various areas of cooperation, including the economy, with a total value of US$4.9 billion.
As part of the cultural program, the President visited the "Al-Salam Palace" Museum, where he explored exhibits related to the culture and history of the Kuwaiti people.
After the conclusion of the official events, the President of Uzbekistan was seen off at Kuwait International Airport by Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah and other high-ranking officials. The President then departed for Tashkent.
