Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Odiljon Abduqahhorov has once again taken the helm of the state institution Uzbekconcert. His appointment was announced on 11 March during a meeting chaired by Uzbekistan’s Minister of Culture, Ozodbek Nazarbekov.

During the session, Odiljon Abduqahhorov, along with the heads of several key institutions—including the State Philharmonic (Anvar Tojiboyev), the Republican Center for Bakhshi Art (Umidjon Norboyev), and the Directorate of International Festivals under the Ministry of Culture (Fatikh Jalolov)—was tasked with strengthening performance discipline.

Odiljon Abduqahhorov had previously served as director of "Uzbekconcert" since October 2017 but stepped down on June 10, 2020, to take on another position. Following his departure, the institution was successively led by Anvarjon Tojiboyev (from November 2020), Jamoliddin Uzokov (from May 2021), Davron Sheraliyev (from May 2022), and Sanjar Erdanov, who was appointed as acting director in October 2023.
