Russian newspaper Sport-Express reported that at the end of the match the Uzbek player fell and hit his head to field after aerial challenge against Andrei Voronin.

Akhmedov played till the end of the match and was hospitalized to carry out medical examination after the game. It is expected he will undergo further exams today.

The match ended with the victory of Anzhi with the score 2-1. Busufa and Prudnikov were on target for Anzhi, while Voronin scored for Moscow club.
