Odil Akhmedov explains his move to Krasnodar
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- New signee of Krasnodar and Uzbekistan national team midfielder Odil Akhmedov stated that he moved to Krasnodar as the management of the club wanted to see him in the squad.

Odil Akhmedov joined Krasnodar from Anzhi. The sum of transfer was not revealed.

Akhmedov expressed gratitude for Anzhi for his time in the club. He said he played three seasons in Russian league and debuted in Europa League. “It was good school for me,” he said.

He noted that Anzhi relegated from Premier League of Russia, but he expressed his assurance that the team will return to top Russian league.

Akhmedov said that he had several offers, but added that management of Krasnodar wanted to see him in the club. He said that this is important for players as the players feel trust. He said that another reason was that Krasnodar pays great attention to children football.

It is worth to mention that CSKA Moscow also expressed interest in signing of Odil Akhmedov.
