Odil Ahmedov moves to Russian club
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Midfielder of Pakhtakor Tashkent and Uzbekistan national team Odil Ahmedov moved to one of the Russian club, President of Uzbekistan Football Federation Mirabrar Usmanov said.

Mirabrar Usmanov stated on Friday that Odil Ahmedov was transferred to Russian club, but he did not named club or transfer sum. He added that the transfer sum is huge.

According to some mass media and blogs, Ahmedov became player of Russian outfit Anji, who finished on the 11th place in the Russian Premier League. But, neither Anji nor Pakhtakor confirmed the deal.

It is worth to noted that Odil Ahmedov attracted interest of foreign clubs after the AFC Asian Cup Qatar 2011, where he was key player for Uzbekistan’s success. Clubs from Saudi Arabia, Russia, Ukraine and Turkey wanted Ahmedov.

Odil Ahmedov has been player of Pakhtakor since 2005 and he won twice Uzbekistan championship and Uzbekistan Cup.
