According to the State Statistics Committee of Uzbekistan, number of newly created small businesses reached 33,092 units in January-November 2011, of which 22,309 (67.4%) in production sectors (7,394 in industry) and 10,783 (32.6%) – in non production sectors (services) of economy.

The committee said that the adopted measures in Uzbekistan to develop small business helped to increase its share in main industries of economy.

In particular, share f small businesses in GDP made up 50.5% in January-September 2011, 20.7% in industry, and 74.2% - in employment. These figures were 48.5%, 18.7% and 73.6% in the same period of 2010.
