The State Statistics Committee of Uzbekistan said that the greatest number of enterprises and institutions (excluding private farms) was registered in trade and catering (25.4%of total registered enterprises), agriculture (21.1%), industry (13.3%), and construction (7.3%).
In the total number of registered enterprises, the share of enterprises with non-state form of ownership was 92.6%of which 50.9%- private and dekhkan farms, 20%- private enterprises, 0.9%- enterprises with participation of foreign capital, 20.8%– other enterprises.
The number of newly registered enterprises and institutions was 18,400 in January-June 2012. Their significant number was marked in the city of Tashkent (17.2%of total registered enterprises in Uzbekistan), Samarkand region (9.5%), Tashkent region (9.2%), and Kashkadarya region (8.8%).
In the sectoral structure of newly registered enterprises, some 40.1% enterprises were created in agriculture sector, 19.7% - trade and catering, and 16.7% - industry.
In the reporting period, 10,900 enterprises and institutions were liquidated. Out of them 3,300 were liquidated voluntarily.
In the sectoral structure of liquidated enterprises, 32.3% of the enterprises fell to share of trade and catering, 22.2%- agriculture, and 15.1%– industry.
