According to him, over 16,000 base stations were installed in Uzbekistan as of the end of 2016. Now their number approached to 19,000.
Sherzod Shermatov noted that mobile operators annually install more than a thousand base stations. He added that in 2017 it is planned to install more than 2,000 stations.
At the same time, he noted that some citizens of Uzbekistan are complying that the operators are installing base stations near their homes. The population note that the base stations negatively affect their health.
Shermatov noted that in Uzbekistan - the most stringent sanitary standards: the limit of propagation of radiation power of the base station is 2.5 microwatts per square meter. He said that this limit is several times smaller compared to some CIS countries, or Israel or the USA.
