The Council for coordination of the activity of controlling bodies introduced changes in the issuance of permission for unannounced inspections. In 2009, such inspections may only be held on the approval of this council.

This year, the number of inspections will be cut by 30%, and the number of enterprises to be inspected by tax bodies has been reduced by 62%, the head of the Tax committee said.

At the same time, the control of the efficiency of unannounced inspections will be strengthened, he added.
