Number of ambulance teams increases

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) —  The number of ambulance teams in Uzbekistan is on the rise, according to the Ministry of Health.

According to the ministry, there are currently 2,838 ambulance teams across the country, representing a 3% increase compared to last year.

There has also been a significant rise in the number of emergency medical centers, which have increased by 21%, from 1,455 to 1,766.

The Ministry of Health also announced that 80% of the outdated vehicle fleet has been renewed, bringing the number of resuscitation vehicles to 510. These measures have helped reduce the service radius for ambulance response in urban areas to 9-12 kilometers.

Additionally, over the past few years, ambulance teams have received one thousand Volkswagen Caddy vehicles equipped with GPS trackers. The introduction of an electronic automated emergency medical management system in all regions of the country is also contributing to the improvement of the ambulance service's efficiency.
