Non-state sector produce 77.5% of Uzbekistan’s GDP in 1H 2010
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The volume of gross domestic product (GDP) of Uzbekistan made up 24.167 trillion soums in January-June 2010 or 8% year-on-year, according to the preliminary data.

Out of the total volume of GDP, the share of the non-state sector was 77.5% in the first half of 2010 (in January-June 2009 – 76.5%) and that of the state sector – 22.5% (in January-June 2009 – 23.5%).

At the same time, the share of joint ventures in GDP made up 17.4% (17.9% in January-June 2009) and citizens property – 25.3% (25.3%). Economic entities produced 28.8% of Uzbekistan’s GDP (27.1%) and farm and dehkan entities – 2.7% (2.7%).

Share of goods production in GDP decreased from 40.7% in January-June 2009 to 39.9% in the first half of 2010. Share of service production in GDP rose to 47.4% from 46.2% in the reporting period. Net taxes to products and import-export operations made up 12.7% of GDP, which is 0.4 percentage less than year-on-year.

Small business entities produced 41.1% of GDP (in January-June 2009 – 40.9%). Out of the total volume of GDP produced by small business entities, the share of small enterprises and microfirms was 25% (in January-June 2009 – 24.6%).

The significant growth of the real volume of gross regional product was observed in Syrdarya region (11.2%), Namangan region (11.1%), Samarkand region (11%), Andijan region (9.6%) and Tashkent city (8.5%).
