Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The Committee for the Development of Competition and Protection of Consumer Rights of the Republic of Uzbekistan analyzes the causes of violations of consumer rights, develops proposals to eliminate them, and also prevents violations of consumer rights in the future.

To date, the Committee has received many appeals from consumers about non-fulfillment of contractual obligations by car rental and leasing companies; the appeals were considered in the prescribed manner.

In particular, over the past few years, about 2,000 requests have been received regarding problems associated with the purchase of a car: in many cases, payment for the car was made in advance, but the car was not delivered within the specified period, and the money paid was not returned.

The bulk of the requests were related to LLC "UMID AVTO COMPANIES", LLC "ORIENT AVTO-LIZING", LLC "IMKON AVTO", LLC "MEGA AUTO LIZING", LLC "AVTO 60-OY", LLC "AVTOHAMKOR 0 FOIZ" and other enterprises.

These companies attract consumer funds with a promise to deliver a new car in a short time, cover their obligations with funds raised from other consumers, and defer (withhold) the return of money received from consumers for a period of more than a year.

Based on the above violations, law enforcement authorities initiated criminal cases against officials of limited liability organizations such as “Umid auto leasing”, “Umid lizing Tashkent”, “Umid auto”, “Umid avto Tashkent”, “Umid avto lizing”, “Mega Avto” Leasin-Hamkor", "Mega Avto Leasin", "Samo Rimmax Avto", "Rimmax Auto Leasin", "Ishonch Auto Leasin", "Asr Auto Leasin", "Baraka Avto Baraka Business"

However, officials of such enterprises continue to commit criminal acts such as extortion of funds by misleading consumers and abusing their trust.

In addition, although it has been said many times about car leasing companies such as “Auto 60th” and “Avtohamkor 0 percent”, which have embezzled billions of people’s money, some of our citizens still become victims of such companies.

“Dear citizens, before concluding (signing) an agreement with a car leasing company and paying for the service, be sure to check the reliability of the company, read the terms of the agreement, the terms of payment and its return in difficult situations,” notes the Committee for the Development of Competition and Protection of Consumer Rights.
