Nizwa in Oman and Bukhara may become sister cities

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Representatives of the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Oman visited the Ad Dakhiliyah Governorate, where they met with Sheikh Hilal bin Said bin Hamdan Al-Hajri, head of the local administration, Dunyo News Agency reports.

During the meeting, the parties exchanged views on the development of relations between Uzbekistan and Oman, discussed the outcomes of reciprocal visits by the leaders of the two countries last year, and considered the ongoing reforms in Uzbekistan.

The discussion also included the signing of an agreement to establish a sister-city relationship between the ancient capital of Oman, Nizwa, and the city of Bukhara, as well as agreements on cooperation in trade, cultural, and humanitarian fields.

Additionally, during the visit, a meeting was held in Nizwa with several prominent businesspeople to discuss the development of mutual trade and investment cooperation.
