Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Nizhny Novgorod and Kashkadarya regions intend to deepen cooperation in the fields of industry, agriculture, trade and tourism.

Deputy khokim of Kashkadarya region Olimkhon Rustamov held negotiations with the deputy governor of the Nizhny Novgorod region Andrei Gneushev.

The parties discussed the prospects for cooperation between the Nizhny Novgorod region and the Republic of Uzbekistan in the fields of industry, agriculture, trade and science.

Andrey Gneushev noted that Uzbekistan is a strategic partner of the Nizhny Novgorod region, actively developing cooperation in various fields.

Olimkhon Rustamov emphasized the importance of interaction between the regions, noting the successful mutually beneficial partnership.

As a result of the meeting, a memorandum of intent for cooperation in the field of tourism was signed between the government of Nizhny Novgorod region and the Khokimiyat of Kashkadarya region.

Minister of International and Interregional Relations Olga Guseva noted the key role of Uzbekistan as a strategic partner and expressed confidence in the significant potential for cooperation in industry and education.

Minister of Tourism and Crafts Sergei Yakovlev emphasized the importance of signing a memorandum of intent to strengthen interaction and develop the tourism potential of the Nizhny Novgorod region, expressing hope for expanding opportunities for tourists and developing tourism business in both regions.

During the visit, the delegation of the Republic of Uzbekistan also met with representatives of the business community of the Nizhny Novgorod region to discuss prospects for cooperation and exchange of experience.
