Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- As part of the “Shock 40 Days” events in Tashkent, nine more men were detained on suspicion of criminal activity.

According to the capital city police department, the detainees were taken as a preventive measure in the form of detention. The department said the investigation is still ongoing.

Among the detainees are Fazliddin Kamalov, Niyoz Ibodov, Lutfilla Umarov, Fozil Erkinov, Begzod Saidov, Sherzodjon Samandarov, Edgar Asatillaev, Izzatilla Akhmadjonov and Sirojiddin Muminov.

They are suspected of extortion and/or illegal production, acquisition, storage and other activities with narcotic drugs.
