The event was organized by Fund Forum and Uzbekistan National Olympic Committee of Uzbekistan at the support of the Embassy of Uzbekistan in the United Kingdom. Fund Forum organized the similar event at Beijing Games in 2008.

Athletes from Uzbekistan, representatives of national and international Olympic committees, international federations on various sports, business and cultural circles of Great Britain attended the event.

Bojalar and Sahro bands presented their musical programme. The organizers noted that musical programme was surprise for foreign guests, while Uzbek athletes enjoyed it.

Within the night, the presentation of photo book “Fund Forum presents Uzbekistan” and exhibition based on photos of the book were held.

Uzbekistan is represented by 54 athletes in 17 sports at London Games, including boxing, judo, gymnastics, tennis, wrestling, cycling, etc.

Some 58 athletes from Uzbekistan participated at the Beijing Games in 2008. Uzbekistan won one gold, two silver and three bronze medals in 2008.
