Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Navoi Mining and Metallurgical Combine JSC (NGMK) will update its fleet with ten large-capacity Komatsu 860E-1K dump trucks with a carrying capacity of 254 tons in 2024, the company’s press service said.

To date, four such dump trucks have already been delivered, the first of which was assembled by specialists from the Road Transport Department of the Central Mining Administration and has already begun work at the Muruntau mine.

This dump truck became the first such model of mining equipment put into operation in Central Asia.

Thanks to the use of this equipment, labor productivity at the mine will increase by more than 15% compared to existing dump trucks, which will reduce fuel consumption by 5% and, accordingly, reduce operating costs.

In addition, the new dump trucks are equipped with a system that automatically diagnoses faults and displays them on a special screen, which greatly simplifies the process of detecting and eliminating them.

It should also be noted that the environmental footprint of these dump trucks is significantly smaller compared to other analogues.
