Orshah Textile, an Uzbek-Turkish joint venture, launched in Marghilan, Ferghana region, UzA reported.

The company, which was established based on the Turkish investments, shall produce more than 100 types of goods – men’s and women’s wear, tablecloths, towels and other products. The company expects to export its products to Russia, Japan, Italy, Turkey, Poland, China, and other countries.

The company’s director Fuat Em said the capacity of Orshah Textile allowed to export produce worth US$4 million annually.

The launch of the joint venture comes as a significant event in the city in terms of the recent grand 2,000th jubilee celebrations and creating more new jobs for the local population, the report said.
