New Uzbek-Chinese joint venture starts work in Qoqand
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) --
An Uzbek-Chinese joint venture “Bolalar Orzusi” (Children’s Dreams) on production of children footwear has been commissioned in Qoqand city (Ferghana region, Uzbekistan).
The project was included to the programme of measures on development of industrial potential of Qoqand city, realization of projects on modernization and localization of production for 2010-2012.
The joint venture was created at the empty premises of Imano Group. The enterprise was equipped with modern equipment for US$585,000.
The capacity of the joint venture is 100,000 pairs of footwear a year. The enterprise now produces 18 types of footwear, which will be traded in internal and external markets.
