Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) – The construction of a textile plant worth US$32 million has been completed in Rishtan district of Ferghana region, the press service of the local administration said in a statement.

The new enterprise, built by Kosto Line Holding under the leadership of Russian entrepreneur Magomed Kostoev, began its activities.

Construction of the plant began in June 2021, and now the company plans to produce 20,600 tons of yarn, fabric, soft towels and bedding annually. It is expected that annual export volume will be around US$30 million.

Solar panels with a total capacity of 212 kW/h are installed on the territory of the enterprise. A highly efficient multi-stage waste water treatment system has also been introduced, using advanced technologies, which ensures the possibility of reusing 70% of purified water.

The second phase of a US$10 million expansion has now been successfully launched. This phase of development will lead to the creation of an additional 500 jobs by 2024.
