Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - A draft Terms of Reference for the creation of hardware and software systems to ensure real estate taxation procedures in the Republic of Uzbekistan has been presented at the State Tax Committee.

On 11 February, at a meeting with the management and senior officials of the STC, representatives of the Federal Tax Service of Russia and the Institute of Professional Education presented the draft Terms of Reference of the Project as part of the previously presented Concept for Improving the Taxation of Real Estate in Uzbekistan.

“The Project we have proposed involves a transition from the six existing types of property taxes to the three main ones — this is the land tax, as well as the property tax on legal entities and individuals,” said Yulia Usova, rector of the Institute of Professional Education. - At the same time, it is necessary to develop and approve a classifier of the types of use of objects of taxation.

Experts also noted the importance of interagency cooperation for a full-fledged information exchange. Cadastral, statistical and evaluation bodies, khokimiyats, committees and agencies should be involved here.

In addition to organizational changes, a structural diagram of the complexes of tasks of the automated information system was presented. It provides information on regions, data on real estate, as well as taxpayers.
