Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers “On amendments and additions to the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan from 28 September  2020 No. 592" On approval of the Regulations on the procedure for determining the level of knowledge of the state language when acquiring citizenship of the Republic of Uzbekistan” was adopted.

The changes being introduced create an opportunity for foreigners and stateless persons to apply for determining the level of knowledge of the state language when obtaining citizenship through public service centers or SPIS.

Also, from now on, in case of disagreement with the decision of the regional examination commission to determine the level of knowledge of the state language, applicants can file an appeal.

An appeal is filed through the public service centers or the SPSI within 5 working days from the date of the announcement of the exam results.

In this case, within 10 days from the date of the announcement of the results of the exam, an appeal exam is held, as a result of which one of the following decisions is made:

dismissal of the appeal;

changing the results of the initial exam and satisfying the appeal;

cancellation of the results of the original exam and the appointment of a second exam.

The decision of the Appeal Commission may be appealed to the court.
