New joint ventures to be created in Uzbekistan in cooperation with India

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Representatives of the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Delhi held a number of negotiations with the heads of leading Indian companies and discussed the implementation of new joint projects, Dunyo news agency reports.

During a meeting with the head of Avantika Medex Pvt. Ltd. Lal Babu, information was provided with about the free economic zones (FEZ) of our country in the field of pharmaceuticals, cultivation and processing of medicinal plants, favorable environment and benefits within the framework of the activities of the FEZ.

An exchange of views took place on the progress of the project to create, in cooperation with Indian entrepreneurs, a joint venture for the production of disposable sterile latex gloves in the Zomin-Pharm FEZ in Jizzakh region. For this purpose, the joint venture Avantika Shifokor has been created and preparations are underway for the start of construction of a new plant in October. As part of this project, an investment of 5 million US dollars will be used.

With the director of Precise Chemipharma Pvt. Ltd. Pran Shah, the sides discussed the implementation of a project worth US$10 million on the territory of the Bustonlik-Farm SEZ in Tashkent region. As part of this project, the production of medicines will be established. A plot of land has already been allocated for a new production structure, and construction work will begin in the fourth quarter of this year.

At negotiations with the marketing director of the company Flowmore Limited, which specializes in the production of pumps, Pramendra Singh Khada, information was presented on the consistent reforms being implemented in Uzbekistan, the results of cooperation with foreign entrepreneurs, the favorable conditions created for their investment activities, and the successful experience of Indian companies in our country.

During the event, special attention was paid to the prospects for implementing a joint project for the production of modern and marketable pumps in cooperation with the company “Flowmore Limited” in Uzbekistan. A representative of the Indian company emphasized that partnership in this area would be beneficial for both parties, and said that a delegation would soon be sent to Uzbekistan to study the prospects for joint activities, conduct negotiations with relevant structures and make practical decisions.
