The press service of the committee said that Japanese envoy paid a courtesy visit to the committee as he starts his diplomatic mission in Uzbekistan.

During the meeting, the sides exchanged opinion on current state and perspectives of further deepening an Uzbek-Japanese cooperation in telecommunication and information technologies. The sides underlined with the satisfaction that Japan’s NEC participated at modernization of telecommunication network and introduction of digital television in Uzbekistan.

The sides underlined mutual interest in further development of cooperation and implementation of joint projects, based on advanced Japanese technologies. In particular, the Uzbek side expressed interest in implementation of projects on further development of digital television and telecommunication networks due to loan of Japan Bank for International Cooperation (JBIC).

They also discussed expansion of relations in training highly skilled ICT and telecommunication specialists. The sides expressed intention to expand interaction in this direction.
