Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The Ministry for the Development of Information Technologies and Communications is actively working in the framework of the third line of 5 initiatives put forward by the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan to effectively organize work with young people regarding the use of computer technology and the Internet among the population and youth.
In order to educate the population in IT specialties and the effective use of computer technology and the Internet, a new IT Center with modern infrastructure has begun its work in Bukhara.
The opening of this IT center in Bukhara will create the opportunity to create about a hundred new IT enterprises, receive over 35 thousand new students and improve the skills of more than a thousand government employees. Teachers at the center will be able to improve their skills.
In order to improve practical skills, it is planned to conduct various practical and laboratory classes, joint projects, including freelance and startup projects with residents of the Bukhara IT center.
It should be noted that by the end of 2020, six more will be opened in the Bukhara region, and by the end of 2021 - 13 IT centers in all cities and regions of the region.
In addition, by the end of 2020, within the framework of the One Million Programmers project, it is planned to train 134.4 thousand students in grades 7–11 from 533 secondary schools in the region.
As a result of the implementation of the planned activities, by the end of 2022 in the Bukhara region 2 thousand qualified specialists in the field of ICT will be trained.
