Ministry of Finance of Uzbekistan issued an insurance license to the Garant Insurance Group on 8 August. The license allows the company to provide voluntary and obligatory insurance services in 13 categories of general insurance, UzReport.com.

The company’s equity capital comprises 1.3 billion soums (equivalent of US$1 million). The founder is Savdogar Bank, an Uzbek-German commercial bank, the report added.

Thus, the number of companies possessing insurance licenses in Uzbekistan has totaled 28, including 26 operating insurance companies, and two companies going through the process of self-liquidation.
